McDaniel now ready to check out programs

DE Mykelle McDaniel 6'6" 230lbs of Loganville, GA has been in recruiting limbo while waiting to take the SAT and/or ACT so that he can take official visits. He has now done that according to Grayson High School assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Kenyatta Watson and is now getting on the move.
McDaniel will take an official visit to Mississippi State this coming weekend and is scheduled to take an official visit to USC next weekend.
McDaniel (6-4 255) has long been favoring the Gamecocks and has visited USC in the past. He was originally offered by the Spurrier staff.
Some of his other offers prior to Signing Day included Nebraska, Georgia, Florida, Southern Cal and Tennessee. Those schools backed away from him over time due to academic concerns but USC has remained in touch with him and Watson throughout the process. Also working for the Gamecocks…McDaniel’s girlfriend attends SC State.
McDaniel was regarded as one of the top prospects in Georgia last season. As a senior he had 60 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
