3 star 6-3 Shadell Millinghaus and 2 star 6-6 Leroy Fludd, teammates from Believe Prep in Rock Hill, will visit USC Tuesday. Both players confirmed their plans Monday night. Their coach, Tyson Waterman, and Millinghaus' brother will be part of the visit. Millinghaus, who is a native of Schenectady, NY, is now calling St. George home now that his parents and grandmother live there. Millinghaus and Fludd have talked about attending the same school and USC is the common offer, but neither plans to make a commitment Tuesday. "I'm going to see how everything is and we'll see how it goes," Millinghaus said. "That (a decision) is down the road. I like them (USC) a lot. They definitely still have a chance." And having his family in the state won't hurt the Gamecocks' chances. Millinghaus said he also will visit Tennessee Tech, Tennessee and Oregon this month. Fludd said he has no other visits planned right now but is also looking at Colorado State and Utah.

Millinghaus and Fludd go inside USC hoops

04/03/13

Believe Prep teammates 3 star 6-3 Shadell Millinghaus and 2 star 6-6 Leroy Fludd spent Tuesday afternoon getting an inside look at USC basketball under Frank Martin. The two along with their coach Tyson Waterman met with members of the Gamecock staff and got a tour of the campus and basketball facilities. "It's a beautiful campus," Millinghaus said. "We didn't get to talk that much with coach Martin but we were with coach Underwood the whole day." Martin had to leave during the afternoon to tape a segment for the Coaches Cook-Off which will be part of the Final Four events in Atlanta. Millinghaus said the coaches didn't talk to them much about their decision making process. Millinghaus plans to have a decision by April 25th or 27th and between now and then is looking to take official visits to USC, Oregon, Marquette, Tennessee and Tennessee Tech. Fludd also plans to visit Utah and Colorado State. Millinghaus said there's no clear cut leader for him but he has a top three of USC, Oregon and Marquette.
