WR Dre Massey of Holmes JC, MS and Mauldin made an official visit to Cincinnati over the weekend. That was his first official visit. “I liked the city and offense style. They throw a lot,” Massey said of the Bearcats. He plans to go to Alabama unofficially this Saturday for the LSU game and he has officials set with USC for November 14th, Oklahoma on the 21st and Florida on the 28th. USC remains the favorite for now. “They have a slight edge, nothing too significant.” Oklahoma officially offered him on Sunday.
DE Travez Moore of Bastrop, LA is slated to announce Monday with TCU, USC and LSU his three favorites. His teammate, WR Isaiah Graham, committed Friday to TCU and had also considered USC and others.
Another USC defensive end target, Griffin Gentry of Homewood, AL, made an unofficial visit to Auburn Saturday. He plans to take an unofficial visit to USC for the Florida game. He is currently committed to Troy but the Gamecocks have moved high up on his list and stand a good chance to turn him.
USC commitment RB CJ Freeman of Greensboro was offered by Wisconsin Sunday night.
RB Tyrek Tisdale of Orlando, a former Florida commitment, said Sunday night he wants to take an official visit to USC November 21st and hopes to line that up with running backs coach Everette Sands or recruiting coordinator Steve Spurrier Jr. He has taken an official visit to Oregon State and is scheduled for visits to Syracuse November 14th and West Virginia December 12th. Tisdale rushed for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns Friday night and has 600 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season.
OL John Simpson of Fort Dorchester was at NC State Saturday. He plans to be at Clemson this Saturday. South Pointe DB Nick McCloud also was at the game in Raleigh.
