Monday night Gamecock recruiting notes
Oct. 26, 2015
USC OL target Ashton Julious of Lackawanna JC, PA and Florence committed Monday to Oklahoma after taking an official visit there over the weekend. Julious also took an official visit to Baylor last summer. He visited the Gamecocks unofficially during the summer and talked recently with interim head coach Shawn Elliott but decided to make his commitment after the visit to Norman.
OL Brandon Autry of Coffeyville JC, KS could once again become a USC target after decommitting last weekend from Florida. Autry, who is a native of Mobile, AL said he has put all of his recruiting activity on hold until he completes his season and will turn his attention back to it in early November. He said he’s not talked to any coaches since decommitting. USC was one of his offers at the time he committed to the Gators earlier this year.
LB Plevon Pryor of Baltimore made an unofficial visit to USC for the Vanderbilt game. “I went on a tour of campus and I loved it,” Pryor said. “I also went to the football game and met some great players for South Carolina . They had a good win against Vanderbilt. I would love to be a member of South Carolina.” Pryor said the Gamecocks are interested in him but have not offered. He does plan to take an official visit with the Gamecocks after the season.
