Muchamp #2 when it comes to being on the Hotseat

just behind Malzahn (in the SEC)

thoughts?

1. GUS MALZAHN, AUBURN

Did the amazing offensive show against Purdue in the Music City Bowl show off the hope needed going forward? Malzahn now has lost five or more games in four of the last five season, and this should be a rebuilding campaign. Throw in the rough schedule, and few head coaches will have a more pressure-packed year.
Last Season SEC Spring Hot Seat Ranking: 7

2. WILL MUSCHAMP, SOUTH CAROLINA

Virginia 28, South Carolina 0 in your 2018 Belk Bowl. That’s how the 7-6 season ended in what was supposed to be a big third season for South Carolina under Muschamp. At 22-17 so far, this had better be a really, really good year.
Last Season SEC Spring Hot Seat Ranking: 8

3. CHAD MORRIS, ARKANSAS

It was an interesting hire that was at least supposed to bring a difference-making offense into the equation. Instead, the Hogs under Morris had a very, very ugly 2-10 season. He won’t get fired with another 2-10 clunker … maybe. At the very least, Arkansas had better be interesting.
Last Season SEC Spring Hot Seat Ranking: 10

I think it is BS. I think most of us knew last year would be a bit of a challenge with losing a lot of older players, who while not being the most talented, at least brought experience to this team.  Anyone watching closely knows that the talent level is on the rise and that this year happens to be the one of if not the toughest schedule in the country.  I would think that 2020 is the year and I will concede if 2020 does not bear out good results.  Building talented line depth takes time and the line of scrimmage is where games are won and lost.  I don't see any way we make a change after this season unless something crazy happens.

Agree I feel he is still getting the treatment like this from the media because what happened when he was the head man at Florida. This is the media what they fail to see most fans do not feel the same vibes as them.

Not only that, but the media and a lot of our own fanbase like to casually dismiss the fact that the team was devoid of much talent when he arrived. Building a solid team with good backups just takes time. I imagine it'll get worse before it gets better with this season's schedule being what it is.

Now if we go two or three more years without any appreciable progress towards making it to Atlanta or at least a top 15 ranking, then yeah that chair will be very warm.

Hell, CWM aint on no hot seat. That is BS. He had nothing when he walked in the the injury situation on defense last year was unheard of. CWM is fine and dandy right now.

People who think he’s on the hot seat are ignorant. The third year of a rebuild is always the worst.  I expect a slight improvement this year, and 2020 is when it will start coming together.
