Muschamp Camp returns to action on Thursday

July 21, 2016

Thursday’s Will Muschamp Football Camp features a couple of in-state prospects looking to land an offer from South Carolina.

Silver Bluff High School (Aiken) DE Devontae Davis lists offers from Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Mercer and Miami of Ohio. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect arrived to the indoor practice facility a little late, but he still received plenty of attention from the coaches.

Strength and conditioning coordinator Jeff Dillman worked with him during warmups and stretching, while defensive line coach Lance Thompson looked on. Muschamp, along with defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson and offensive line coach Shawn Elliott also tracked Davis during the circuit conditioning portion of camp.

T.L. Hanna High School (Anderson) RB Davijuan Dean has offers from Appalachian State, Colorado State, Furman, Georgia Southern and Old Dominion. According to the 247Sports composite, Dean is the No. 85 running back in the country. He’s also ranked as the No. 23 overall prospect from the state of South Carolina.

Several prospects are up from the state of Georgia, including Jaylen Rivers, a 2018 athlete from Grady High School in Atlanta, who Robinson watched on a couple of different occasions. Roswell High School WR Kentrell Barber lists an offer from Illinois. He’s on campus, too. Also in town is a pair of 2019s from Memorial Day School in Savannah: ATH Winston Wright and RB Delvecchio Powell
