Muschamp expects & wants Joyner to be ‘huge part’ of Gamecocks offense going forward

Dec. 30, 2019, | GCF Staff Report

The question has lingered over Carolina‘s football program for the majority of the past two seasons. How best should the Gamecocks use sometimes-quarterback, slash-receiver Dakereon Joyner? To hear Muschamp tell it, the answer is often. (VIEW ARTICLE)

I really like this young man and I look forward to seeing him play next season. Here's hoping he can use the Spring to concentrate on being a receiver as we now have some depth at quarterback.

I agree.  He is everything that is right about college football and seems to really be a young man of strong character.  I hope he can break through this year and excel.  He may be able to give us an "Ace Sanders" type skill set on the field.

I hope this is true, but I will believe it when I see it.  Props to Dak for doing whatever has been asked of him of this team.  I really want to see him play more in 2020.

Agree. Coachspeak until proven otherwise.  Dak is either a dynamic playmaker or he's not. It's up to the offensive coaches to solve this.

Since Bobo is a diehard pro style OC, I don't see Dak behind center.

I said this last spring, I want to see Dak returning punts this fall.  Let’s get playmakers returning kicks more often.

Honestly, the less I hear Coach talk about the offense, the better.  He brought Bobo in to run the offense, now please let him.

Can’t trust much of what Champ says but there is no doubting the character of that young man.

I definitely believe he can be an important part of our 2020 offense. If he can (needs) to stay healthy, it will be hard to keep him off the field. Really hope this will be a breakout year for the young man. I like his attitude & willingness to do whatever to help this team. Go Cocks!
