Dequanteous Watts
3 star CB Deqanteous Watts 6'2" 165lbs of Atlanta said he hears from USC head coach Will Muschamp every single day.  Even on Wednesday, when Muschamp was busy running his team thru a morning practice and turning laps at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Watts said he found time to make his daily call from the speedway.  All in an effort to sign him in February.

“Same as usual, they want me there and all of that stuff, guaranteed playing some and a good education,” Watts said.  “It’s going to come down to South Carolina, Ole Miss and Oregon.”  UCF also is still in the hunt.

Watts said he’s set for official visits in January to USC on the 18th, Ole Miss on the 25th and Oregon on the 31st.

Muschamp has not told Watts when he’ll be in for his in home visit in January but he is expecting him.  As for the other two competitors, Watts has something to like about each.

“Ole Miss, the coaches just love ya,” he said. “Oregon, I talked to the whole coaching staff down to the special teams coordinator. I’ve got a great relationship with them too.”

Watts had set January 7th for a commitment announcement but now he’s not sure about that since his officials come after that.  He said he may go all the way to the February signing date before revealing his choice.  There is no favorite among his top three.

Watts, who originally was committed to UCF, had 32 tackles with 6 interceptions and 15 pass break ups this season.  He returned to picks for touchdowns and had two kickoff returns for scores.
