John Mincey
DL John Mincey of Homerville, GA has become a primary target for USC coach Will Muschamp and he spent a few hours on Wednesday meeting at the school with Mincey and his father.
‘The meeting went real well,” said Clinch County assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Trent Hatton. “He likes Coach Muschamp. He talked about how they needed John and how they liked him as a hybrid, rushing off the edge but someone who will be big enough to play with his hand in the dirt.”
Gamecock defensive line coach John Thompson also was part of the meeting.
Mincey will visit Tennessee this weekend and Florida State February 2nd. They are trying to figure out a date for an official visit to USC. Mincey’s basketball schedule has him playing 3-4 games per week and that’s made it difficult to schedule visits.
Hatton said Mincey was still holding with his final three schools of USC, Tennessee and Florida State at this point.
