Muschamp  talks injures after scrimmage

August 12, 2019

Gamecocks coach Will Muschamp on Monday revealed that Hinson was having trouble breathing early in camp. Tests showed an irregular heartbeat, which will require ablation surgery that will sideline him for 6-8 weeks. He is expected to be back after that. Defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth had a similar procedure at one point in his career.

OTHER INJURIES MUSCHAMP ANNOUNCED:

▪ Safety JT Ibe strained his pectoral. He should miss a week.

▪ TE Kiel Pollard is working through a shoulder stinger.

Also OL Donell Stanley had a back spasm, and should be fine and return later this week. RB Tavien Feaster had an infected tooth, and had it removed. He is being kept out of contact practices while the infection is being treated, and is expected to be cleared for full contact practice next week. DL JJ Enagbare who has been out (knee scope) is also expected to return next week (Wed.) for practice, and DL Kier Thomas (foot/ankle) is also expected to return next week...

Lot of nicks & bruises mostly which is routine for fall camp.
