I will happily eat crow now for my criticism of  OC Satterfield and OL Adkins all season long. The play-calling was very solid and the O-line looked like completely different group. Have to stand up take my hat off to give them credit for tonight big lopsided win over the Gators 40-17 and for great preparation during the off week. I Salute you!!

I'm in for crow...I saw another Texas A&M performance coming.  May I have some more, please?

I don’t think anyone saw that coming. I had Brown throwing one or two INTs, our OLine struggling. Same story from previous weeks.

Then they pulled this and showed up and out. Happy to be wrong!

Definitely need to have a slice myself.  After the past few weeks, I really did not expect another win.  I will though temper my enthusiasm as half the Gators team was coming off of the flu and apparently some still had it.  I do think our OL played much better and if we can establish the run in the next game I think we should do well.  If we can weather the first half of the Auburn game I think we have a shot as well as they are not good in the second half so far.

I’ll gladly eat crow for the second time this week!

I told my wife we were going to take a beating. I almost didn’t watch, because we are camping in WV right now, but I had good signal on my phone, and watched in happy amazement!

I also said the Braves would get beaten by the Brewers, then the Dodgers, then the Astros, and I was so incredibly, and happily wrong!

I will continue to predict doom and gloom for the rest of the season, and hopefully eat heaping plates of crow each week!

Wooohooo!

Although I have tried to post mainly positive content for this season, I was just as pessimistic as everyone else.

We have a situation where a new staff is installing a new playbook with players that, up to last night, have not played well against SEC-caliber opponents.

Losing to the Gators has always seemed to deflate our teams in recent years for the rest of the season and they never really seemed to care about saving face by beating Clemson.

Shane has stayed positive as best he could, but he looked harder and tougher on the sidelines last night like he's crossed a plateau and is ready for the next steps to become a successful coach.  I think that would apply to his staff and the rest of the team as well.

I was very excited about our win over EIU because we looked great across the board and then we hit the wall against tougher teams.

Still one game at a time for me, but we made the Gators look like EIU last night.

Dan Mullen is a great coach and there were good reasons why we were 20-point underdogs.

Mizzou is down like we have been and we can't let our guard down.  Let's hope Shane adds another notch on his belt this Saturday with Drinkwitz, who gave us an embarrassing loss at home not so long ago.

The good thing is Shane is not some veteran has-been HC just going through the motions until his retirement in the near future.  He wants those kill flags on the fuselage underneath his cockpit.

I’ll have to eat a plate myself, when looking at the schedule before the season I had this one marked with an L.  I have always been and will always be garnet through and through.  I’ll happily enjoy this big plate of crow.

I will admit I was WRONG on this one. I hope this is a sign of the future. It was only one game. But, It was enough for me to REPAIR MY GARNET GLASSES.

I admit to feeling pretty depressed about how this season was going. I'm getting too old to wait till next year!! Happy for this team for having things come together tonight. Hoping we have more of this to come!!

I was wrooo…..I was wrrrroon……I was wronnngggggg.  Signature win.  It makes the season a success no matter what else has, or is about to happen.  Tasting victory on the big stage can be infectious.  Let’s just not put us in the playoff talk for next year quite yet.

For now, I’ll eat a big ass crow, but as of tomorrow, it’s in the rear view.  We will only be as good as the impending challenge.

I thought we were going to go 4-8 this year, so I'll take my crow on that. Hopefully we get another win or two (or three!) to get to a bowl. Don't even really care if we played the bowl, but the extra practices would be invaluable for our younger players.

Well , I  said it called it and almost got laughed off the board how was we going to score etc, I felt it from talking to the people in Gator nation all week long I finally got the courage to say it was upset weekend for the GAMECOCKS.  No one was saying anything about winning I  have been  hard on them at times   but I think I said over and over again that this team would get to 6 wins   I was laughed at talked about but hey look now and all of an sudden we have an genius at calling  plays, well not so fast they simplified things found out from  inside sources.

You guys apologies are now being accepted , have an nice day  thanks the BEAR.

Y'all in a different boat from me. I'm pissed they didn't play Brown earlier. He played like Tanneyhill 2.0.

No way Steve would let something like this slip. He would have had Brown playing like he did with Syvelle in '06.

We could have at least been competitive in one or 2 of those beatdowns.

I'd still fire Satt at the end of the season. Your most effective QB on a losing team is 3rd on the chart?

While he looked really good in the first half after we busted off some big runs. He started looking closer to our other quarterbacks in the second half when Florida started getting pressure on him.  I thought at the time they needed to give him some easy passes to get him back into rhythm.  I also realize we started playing much more conservative putting him into more definite passing situations, which accounted for Florida pinning their ears back and putting pressure on him.

Yep I ragged you a little. Never saw it in the cards.

Was thinking the same, but maybe the thinking was game in the bag and dropped their guard some. Mizzu game will one way or another show if he is the right guy under center. One game does not make a QB star. Not ready to anoint Brown just yet.

I like Brown's pocket presence, but still plenty of room for improvement.  Doty is done for the year, Zeb is still dinged up and was never mobile, so Brown should be the guy the rest of the year IMO.  I would agree is not head and shoulders above Doty or Noland, but he did play well Saturday night.
