Nation’s No. 4 RB includes Gamecocks & 4 SEC teams in Top 10June 21, 2016
The nation’s No. 4 running back has dwindled his list of schools down to 10.
Anthony McFarland, Jr., a 4-star prospect out of DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, MD.), released a top 10 on Tuesday, which included five SEC teams. Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and Texas A&M all made the cut, along with Miami, Maryland, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame.
The 5-foot-8, 186-pound back reports 29 offers and is rated as the No. 2 player in the state of Maryland, as well as the nation’s No. 54 overall prospect. He recently took an unofficial visit to Alabama on June 16, while visiting both Miami and Michigan earlier in the year.
Despite not making McFarland, Jr.’s top 10, Georgia is listed as the favorite to land his services with a 43 percent chance, according to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions.
