NCAA member schools overwhelmingly ratify a new, pared-down constitution

Nothing wrong with the changes, but I would hate to see things change to the point where student-athletes are traded or cut in mid-semester and lose their opportunities for getting a degree.

I generally believe we'll see a resurgence in the student-athlete culture from most schools in the long run.  Once one major school does it, the rest will follow.

These young kids are also going to learn the hard way that the endorsement money goes away along with everything else if you assault your GF or break the law.

From a management standpoint, how can you coach an athlete that makes just as much or more in a year than one of your assistants?  Okay for the NFL, but I don't see how it works in college athletics.

I believe the "what have you done for me lately" individual athlete greed will backfire at some point in the next year or so.  Once one major program puts it in its place, the rest will follow.
