New head coach Beamer getting much-needed jump on top 2022  talent

12/07/2020 BY GCF STAFF REPORT/HF

The next recruiting cycle in South Carolina is a very talented bunch and Beamer and new staff will do them selfs some good by hitting the ground running with a couple of these outstanding prospects.

Starting with cornerback Jeadyn Lukus 6.2" 170lbs, perhaps the top 2022 player in the state of South Carolina, as of now he is a Clemson lean and the No. 3 player, OT Collin Sadler 6'6" 295lbs, is already committed to the Tigers but outside linebacker Jaylen Sneed  6'1' 207lbs and Tight end Jaleel Skinner 6'5" 215lbs are still uncommitted. Sneed is a super-athletic linebacker that can make plays all over the field and the Gamecocks are in desperate need of an upgrade at that position. Skinner hadn’t been very interested in South Carolina but Beamer’s track record with tight ends should catch his attention. Sneed and Skinner, both highly-ranked prospects, should be priority targets for Beamer.
