Sam Darnold to the Panthers.  Really?

SMDH.

All the trade discussion does is confirm that the premier QBs are Brady, Mahomes, Wilson, and Rodgers. 

Although someone should tell Rodgers that the Jeopardy TV show isn't a football team.  LOL

Yeah, the Darnold trade was a head scratcher at first. I look at it as the Panthers figured they weren't going to be able to draft the future franchise qb at pick 8. Couple that with being ready to move on from Bridgewater and you get the trade. At least it wasn't a financially crippling move. Darnold's still on his rookie deal, so they have a year to determine if he's the guy or if they should move on and only be out some draft picks.

I am not sure what to make of this move.  I know that the Jets have seemingly ruined more that one quarterback over the years, so not sure.  It sounds like the situation up there was screwed up and maybe that hurt his play.  I guess it is a low risk roll of the dice to see what Brady and Rhule can do with him and put themselves in a position to make a trade next year if this does not work out.  I've not watched one snap of Jets football so have no idea about anything as it related to Darnold.

Thought the panthers would try to get Fields.  Darnold isn't bad and didn't have much to work with before.  Not that he will have a ton now.
