WR Michael Wyman (6-4 197) is another big receiver USC is recruiting for the 2020 class and the Gamecocks have put themselves in good position with him early on.  Wyman visited for the major junior day January 26th and the Gamecocks will definitely be in the running for him until the end around the end of summer.

“They are one of my top choices,” Wyman said. “Just the coaching staff, especially coach BMac (Bryan McClendon) and coach Muschamp, pretty much all the coaches.  I’ve got a good relationship with everybody there. It’s a family atmosphere for sure.  South Carolina is coming after me the hardest, but pretty much everybody really is recruiting hard and showing the same amount of love.”

Some other offers are North Carolina, Arkansas, East Carolina, Duke, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia, Ole Miss, Florida State, Stanford and Oklahoma.

Wyman said he hears from Will Muschamp every day and the Gamecocks’ coach is making a hard pitch.  Also attractive to him, the pitching and catching of the Gamecock offense.

“Most definitely that’s an attractive situation, especially with coach BMac being the the offensive coordinator, calling the plays and they are throwing the ball a lot” he said. “That’s a receiver’s game.”

Over the last two seasons Wyman has caught 64 passes for 1142 yards and 11 touchdowns according to MaxPreps stats.  What coaches like about his skills, he said, is his flexibility.

“Pretty much, I can do it all on the field, outside or inside.”

Wyman also has visited North Carolina and he plans to visit others but no dates have been set.  He does plan to return to USC again.  He will be an early graduate.
