North Carolina running back making return visit to USC
November 12, 2014
Junior RB CJ Freeman (5-11 190) of Greensboro, NC visited USC earlier this season for the Georgia game and will return later this month for the South Alabama game.
“I really liked the atmosphere there,” Freeman said. “I really liked the setup for the running back, a one running back rotation. They use their running backs to the best of their ability. And they run a lot of zone read which we run. I like coach Sands and I like the program.”
Freeman also has visited Auburn, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech and the in-state North Carolina schools this season, and he is going to Tennessee this weekend. He’s also going to Louisville and East Carolina before the season ends.
USC and Virginia Tech are his first two offers. He’s also hearing from Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Purdue, Iowa State and Vanderbilt along with the schools he’s visited. Freeman said USC and Virginia Tech standout right now because those are his offers.
He plans to make his decision this summer.
Freeman rushed for 1800 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. This season he has 1200 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns.
Freeman is coached by Johnny Roscoe who also coached for many years in South Carolina.
