I said this when I heard they were going to allow them to play an ACC schedule this year:

ND couldn't get away with what they're doing with a real conference.  That's why they did it with the Big East and now the ACC.  It's the conference's fault for letting them get away with what they want.

The Irish are unique because they will have a nationwide TV audience no matter who they play and they haven't really stopped being competitive for very long periods of time.

They can call their own shots.
