Now playing for bowl eligibility against a beatable Mizzou team. Gamecocks pick up a win this game and the pressure is off in our last 2 games. Further, win this game and it adds credibility to the UF game.  We have a stepping stone, please do not trip over it this time. A loss would pretty much kill all the good vibes from this week and paint the UF game as a fluke against a team that has mailed it in. We can have bowl eligibility locked up with 2 games to go in the season, which is something that not even the most optimistic fan would have predicted.

I agree they must take care of Business in Missouri they will be looking to end our season again we owe them a few beat downs, I hope the players will stay focused this is an big game for the program as well.  It could mean going or not going bowling.   Get an win here and hey things change quickly if they go bowling just want to stay out of Alabama.     Win here an then it's just an add on if they win, then you can really sale the program you're building.

Got play discipline football this Saturday (like we did against UF).  Penalties and turnovers get magnified on the road.  Let's run the ball against a run D ranked 129th in the nation.  I hope we don't get big heads after beating UF and face plant.  Stay focused and realize the Mizzou game will be a hard as any other game on the schedule.

Here's the way the SEC East looks now:

The Vols play UGA this Saturday (most likely a loss) and UK plays Vandy.

No more SEC opponents for UK after the Vandy game.  The Vols will finish up SEC play with Vandy the same weekend we play Clemson.

There has been so much wrong with our program that we have just been about playing good football again more than competing at the top of the SEC East.

If Shane keeps the program back on track by beating Mizzou, then we may be at the point when can start talking about competing for the SEC East again.

Let's face it, UK has been so high because we and the Vols have sucked greatly in recent years.

Josh Heupel has the proven HC background prior to coming to Knoxville to make the Vols competitive again.

Still one game at a time, but if Shane continues to get us back on track, you could see us competing in the Top 4 with UGA, UT, and UF in exciting, competitive games again.

I believe Mizzou got spoiled by Gary Pinkel the same way Spurrier spoiled us.

Either Mizzou will be up for this game or maybe going off the rails as the realization that Drinkwitz may not be the best coach for them starts to sink in.

Our positive mentality right now may give us another unanticipated decisive victory against Mizzou on Saturday.

The Gamecocks did some things in this past game that I didn't think this team was capable of doing.  UF had their issues but the team still executed and made plays.  Mizzou will not overlook us and will be prepared.  I'm cautiously optimistic that we can continue to play better and come away with the win.  Here's to building some positive momentum.

Hey, the O.L. has to give the backs room to run that is going to be key, then if the D shows up  and get 1 or 2 takeaways is what we need and when we have the ball run it like we  just shown we can .  Hopefully this will carry over this team cannot show up like we did at  A & M , we have got to put points on the board early take the game to them.

Hey I have got an saying when we played ball go knock on the dressing room door an ask them to come on out hey we're ready , get off the plane and bus with that mind set.  Just whip the guy in front of you all day hey let them know we going to be there all day get physical  like I know they can .

Keep the media guys away now shown practices etc ,  this is an war and they have to be ready Missouri always finds ways to beat us hopefully we can win.

I am not ready just yet to predict the score I am still thinking about it.

Agree - or at least cement the fact that we have taken strong steps from the cellar.
