OF James Nix of the College of Central Florida committed to USC Friday. This season he batted .462 with 9 homers and 48 RBIs. He also stole 24 bases. He was named the player of the year in his league.

A stellar JUCO career. I had to look at it twice - he hit .462 on the season, but also scored 88 runs in 53 games!!! Hopefully he'll have that kind of run production here, but he'll need teammates to drive him in. Berryhill and Eyster should be drooling over that stat!
