The opening games of the season afforded Latta 4 star OL Donell Stanley 6'6" 320lbs the chance to take another close up look at USC and Clemson. He attended the North Carolina game in Columbia and the Georgia game in Clemson. "The game itself was good, South Carolina played well," Stanley said of stop number one. "I talked to coach Elliott and coach Spurrier and that was real good. They were telling me how I can fit in with their program and how important I am to them and keeping me in state." Stanley went to Clemson Friday night and stayed till Sunday. "The game was definitely real good and it was real loud there," Stanley said. "Coach Caldwell, I got to talk to him and he was telling me that they need me up here and Clemson is the place for me." Stanley added that he's not just at the games as a fan, but rather he does watch the offensive line and line coaches to get a better feel for things. "I try to watch all kinds of different run blocks and pass blocks and see how it is out there for the next level, and I look at the coaches and how they are coaching the guys," he said. He does not have a favorite line coach but said he talks the most with Elliott and Caldwell. Stanley has no other game visits planned and has not set his official visits but will with USC, Clemson, North Carolina and Alabama. He does not plan to take a fifth visit. Stanley said there is no particular order with his four schools and there's no timetable for a decision but he plans to take his official visits first before he decides. As of Tuesday night Stanley said he had not been called by any of his recruiters this month.
