Things did not go as planned for 4 star Latta OL Donell Stanley 6'5" 327lbs Friday night in the opener at Wagener-Salley. First, he suffered a dislocation of the little finger on his right hand and had to play most of the game hurt. And second, his Vikings blew a nine point lead in losing by five points. Stanley had his finger put into a splint Friday night and will visit the doctor on Monday for a further evaluation. With the season underway, his recruiting has taken a bit of a back season. "He's focused a little bit more on high school ball," said Latta assistant coach Chris German who is assisting Stanley with the recruiting process. His top four remain USC, Clemson, Alabama and North Carolina. Stanley plans to attend USC's game Thursday and is hoping to get to Clemson's game Saturday. And he heard recently from Alabama recruit Chris Rumph. There is no timetable for a decision.
