John Simpson
Alabama will get the last face to face chance to impress Fort Dorchester OL John Simpson. The Army All American said Monday night he has set his three official visit weekends for January. He will go to Florida January 16th, Clemson January 23rd and Alabama January 30th. Simpson has already visited Florida. All four schools remain in the running and Simpson said there is no favorite.
As for a possible fifth visit, Simpson said if he can work it out, he will take one and it most likely would be to USC. He talked briefly Monday with USC offensive line coach Shawn Elliott. He also was in touch thru Twitter with Clemson recruiter Tony Elliott. Simpson said both exchanges were lighthearted.
Simpson said there is no favorite among his final schools at this point and he might not be able to make a decision until Signing Day. And his personal feel for the school will be be a major factor in the decision.
“A family,” he said. “I want it to feel like I belong there. I want the coaches to feel like I belong there. And I want to be comfortable.”
