Lamarius Benson
OL Lamarius Benson of Covington, GA has been a long standing USC commitment. But it’s not a given he will sign with the Gamecocks February 7th because of their apparent dissatisfaction with his weight and his decision to take a visit over the weekend to Central Florida.
“The visit to Central Florida went good,” Benson said. “I liked the campus and the coaches. They said they could see me in their program.”
Benson is publicly still committed to the Gamecocks, and he talked with offensive line coach Eric Wolford Sunday, but nothing is definite with him right now.
“I’m still making my mind up,” he said. “We’ll see in a week. Coach Wolford said he still wants me.”
Benson said Central Florida is coming for a visit this week. He said he is not expecting USC coaches to visit this week. And he does not have an official visit planned for the coming weekend.
