4 star OL Parker Boudreaux 6'5" 291lbs of Orlando spent the weekend in South Carolina visiting Clemson and USC with his parents and two sisters. The emphasis of the trip was on Clemson for the junior day. On the way back to Orlando Sunday Boudreaux stopped in Columbia for about two hours and met with USC offensive line coach Shawn Elliott who gave him a tour of the facilities.
“Ir was pretty nice, I liked it,” Boudreaux said of his first ever glance at USC. I like coach Elliott. And they are building a new condo for the players and a new indoor ( practice facility) and all that stuff.”
Boudreaux said USC is recruiting him hard but right now is not high up on his list. Clemson, however, is. He visited the Tigers during last season and loved it and got more of the same feeling on this visit.
“It was awesome,” he said. “We saw everything. We saw all the new facilities and the campus, and all the coaches. I hung out with Coach Caldwell the most. He’s probably the nicest O-line coach ever.”
Boudreaux said he also got about 20 minutes alone with Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney.
“He’s an awesome head coach,” he said. “Probably the best coach, the most interesting coach I’ve met so far.”
Clemson has long been one of Boudreaux’s favorites though he’s not yet conceived a true favorites’ list. But when he does you can expect Clemson to be prominent among the schools.
“They are definitely in the top of those schools,” he said. “I’ll definitely start narrowing down stuff in the spring and then narrow it down more after I visit in the summer.”
Upcoming visits for Boudreaux will include Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
