OL TJ Haney of Gaffney landed his first offer from a major program Saturday when new Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason gave him the news while Haney was in Nashville for an unofficial visit. Haney took to Twitter to reveal the offer and he had good things to say about the Vandy coach. "Coach Mason is a great man! Talked to him for a while and learned a lot about football and life," Haney wrote. Haney previously had elicited strong interest in Vanderbilt saying in a recent interview an offer from them could lead to a commitment later in the season. Haney also has offers from Charlotte and Marshall. He plans to visit Wake Forest this weekend and will attend USC's junior day in late March.
