I really do not know why lot of Gamecock folks think that after Dec 31 they expect a new OC. Me myself would like to see a change but Satt is there and I have talked and got info at first looked good for a change, but I just wondering if it really happens and if not whole lost of folks going to be upset. Best just see what happens and chill out if Satt stays. That's my plan.... How do you all feel about it?

The defensive players weren't that much better than the offensive players, yet they played better most of the season.

If the offense had played as well as the defense, Shane would be in consideration for some kind of award.

I still hope Shane finds someone on the level of White and Lembo to run his offense.

I wonder how much Satt being here has to do with Rattler coming wanting to be in a pro-style offense to get him ready for the next level.  Either that or he knows Satt is leaving and knows who will be taking his place and likes that person.  I would find it hard to believe that they know he is leaving and who the replacement will be and nothing has leaked out about it.  I think Rattler came because of the relationship with Beamer and Stogner, but there is also a good chance he came because of what he thinks Satt can do for him.

Hey, this is my thoughts Satterfield is staying put for now, it makes no sense to change O.C. coordinators  as bad as the offense was he didn't have an whole lot to work with I think he stays put and if things don't work this coming year he will be gone.  If you believe in an plan then they need to stick with it I had thoughts of changing him but when you really look at things it might not be all his fault.

He will have some talent coming in so let's see for now.

Satt's two-year contract when everyone else got three has been a flag to me from the beginning.

He may have been the only one Shane could get at the time, but with the understanding he wanted to back to the NFL as soon as he could once Shane got settled in.

If that's the case, then things may not be as dramatic as they seem and Shane already has a plan to get a new OC in here that will work with the existing staff.

Shane laid it on the line with those "team in the Upstate" comments right after he was hired, but we couldn't even score a single point against Clemson when it came time to walk the talk.

We may be looking at a situation where Shane has been grateful for Satt's help when he needed it, but at this point he might be more supportive of Satt going back to the NFL than he would have if we had a more successful season on offense.

Satt may already be going back to NFL while Shane has already been working on getting a good replacement OC behind the scenes.

Let's face it, Shane was a first-time, unproven HC last year and had to take who he could get to fill the position.  He may be in a better position this year if he wants an OC who is going to stick around.

Regardless of how you feel about Satt, only having one year left on his contract, for whatever the reason, is a liability with new recruits for all the obvious reasons.

Momentum towards go/stay will happen after the bowl, IMO - based on the performance in that game. Have good plan, play well, execute it, and enough of the rumbling might die down for Shane to keep him - but another #SattShow and the screaming, which is already loud, will be thunderous.

Yes, you are probably right about the fans reaction if there is a poor offensive showing in the bowl game -- fair or not.  I think the 12 game regular season is a much better indicator than 1 game of an OC competency.  Especially since we have no idea who will be playing or opting out on the offensive side of the ball.  At this point, CSB still gets my benefit of the doubt that he has a plan in place.  6 or 7 wins this year is more than I thought was possible.

Go Cocks!

^^THIS.  I believe he already knows what he's going to do about the situation with Satt, for better or worse.

I think the offensive line issues hurt Satt being able to do everything he wanted. The change in performance from 2020 to 2021 for that group was night and day. Could a new Oline coach be the solution instead?

USC coach Shane Beamer and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Marcus Satterfield Friday signed another key prospect for their 2022 class. A few days after the announcement by former Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler that he will transfer to USC next month, the Gamecocks twosome added 4 star

Bailey said a few minutes after his announcement that Beamer and Satterfield made all the difference in his decision which came a few days after he decommitted from Oregon.

Like I said me myself thinks Satt hanging around just my  :twocents: . Just this wait till Dec. 30 talk could be just that "talk." LOL TBS will explodes... I could well be wrong here....
