I heard someone talking on a radio show and they made a great point about how we call in plays, let the defense set up, then look over to the sideline and call the final play. After all of this is done the clock is down under 10 seconds and we usually snap the ball with 2-3 seconds to go on the clock. The caller was stating that this was an advantage to the defensive line because they knew we would have to snap the ball in that short amount of time so they could get off of the ball quicker. If we go up to the line, make a call and snap the ball anytime before the 10 second mark the O-line will have that advantage on the D-line because of the knowledge of the snap. I would like to see this done more often as I think it will help our O-line out a lot. I believe our guys can hold their own but any advantage they can get would be great.
