South Carolina and Miami are the top two schools for 2019 3-star outside linebacker Samuel Brooks 6'2", 200lbs, who lists more than 20 offers.
Brooks released the news on Saturday morning.
Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina State, Purdue and Rutgers have also offered Brooks.
Three-star offensive tackle Mark Fox Jr., Brooks’ teammate at Northwestern High School in Miami, is committed to South Carolina’s 2019 class.
David Wilson of Diehards shared some insight on Brooks earlier this week:
“Brooks was on his way to a monster junior season before tearing an ACL during October. It meant the edge rusher didn’t quite get the ratings boost he was probably due for. Still, interest has picked up for the outside linebacker and should only increase if he returns fully healthy. The [Miami] Hurricanes have made him a priority early. Brooks recently visited Coral Gables, Fla., for a men’s basketball game in January.”
