Paul Finebaum expects Georgia to ‘destroy’ South Carolina on Saturday

“I really don’t think (UGA’s quarterback) matters,” Finebaum told the caller. “I think they’ll destroy South Carolina whether Stetson Bennett, Zach Bennett, Bennett Jones or Pat from Georgia was their quarterback.” The caller, Pat from Georgia, later mentioned how he thought South Carolina fans traveled well to games. Finebaum quickly deemed fan presence a non-factor in the outcome.

Finebaum is a jerk, but he's probably right about this weekend. We just do not have the team that can hand with the Dawgs. I just hope we play well enough to cover the 30 point spread.

Definitely do not watch his show, just don't care for his commentary.  Unfortunately he is probably right.  We will have to get creative on offense to put up points.  Defense is a question mark.  Can we take that next step and get some breaks?  Hope we can capitalize on some turnovers.  Will be a HUGE test for this team.  Just remember 2019 at this point.

Wow he really went out on a limb with his prediction lol.  I listened to him a few times and quite honestly did not find he had anything intelligent to say, but somehow was smarter than the people that called in.  To this day I cannot understand how he has positioned himself as some kind of authority on college football.

I stopped watching him and listening to him years ago.  Not because of his analysis but because all his shows are a multi hour recruiting pitch for Bama mostly.  He panders to the blue bloods of the SEC the rest of the time.  UGA is one of them.    I fully expect UGA to win convincingly but also for our team to put up a fight.

Finnebaum has dogged on us since it was announce we were joining the SEC 30 years ago.

But in this case, I think he is right, unfortunately.

Agreed. This may be the strongest UGA team we have seen in years, and let's face it, we are at the bottom end of a rebuild. We are climbing upward but that takes time.

Can't stand him.  I never really hear him say anything all that analytical or thought provoking to be honest.  He states the obvious, sucks and swallows on Bama non-stop and is so biased it's laughable.  How he got there Longhaul, I will never know.

While I think he is correct that UGA will probably handle us easily (esp after that last loss), lots of times our games are closer than they should be when UGA is much better.  I think our offense will struggle to move the ball and our D will play well for a half or so.  Then they will be tired and hot and things may get out of hand.  I think we should be able to cover the spread though.

PF is a joke IMO.  He is only smarter than his callers because they screen out any intelligent ones and only let ones through that he is clearly smarter than.  He sucks donkey dick.  Well, more like elephant dick.

He was very positive about Shane when we hired him.

Maybe he's trying to generate caller traffic from us and the Dawgs the way he did with Bama and Auburn.

Let's face it, Bama has become so dominating there's nothing much to argue about anymore.  He could probably milk UGA and Carolina fans for a while if we beat them.

Generating Clemson/Carolina callers would be something as well for him.

He could do the same thing with us and the Gators for that matter as we get better during the season.

My perception is the success of Spurrier during the 33-6 years was probably one of the major selling points for launching the SEC Network.

Then our program went off the rails after 2014 and Spurrier quit in the middle of a season.

I think the network execs are probably excited that Shane may be filling the void left by Spurrier once he gets our program back on track.

So, a brief recap of the thread: Finebaum is still a penis with a microphone and GA has a much better team than us.  Nothing new here.
