Well, it pisses me off that the NCAA has this liberal methodology of always wanting to take from the rich to give to the poor. Certainly, if bowl selections were based on merit instead of affirmative action, a marginal team like PHLEGMson would not be a participant in the Orange Bowl, which used to be a major bowl before this ridiculous BCS system came about.
Nevertheless, they are and I hope OSU lights them up like Baghdad during Desert Storm or like when West Virginia tore them a new larger rear end external expository a few years ago. However, will Urban Meyer have the temerity to take the lesson from FSU and USC and adjust his defense to stop the tater big play? The taters live and die by the quick strike. They have no patience and get bug-eyed and bucktoothed pleasuring themselves with the long ball. However, for 5 consecutive years we've seen just how irretrievably limp they get when you deny them their Viagra.
OSU got themselves burned out of a National Championship appearance because of the long ball, so it leaves me wondering - are they for real? Will they get sucked into thinking that the taters can control their urges and not go for the poppers or will they commit to stopping the long ball? I think if they let the taters get a lead, it's going to be very tough for them to turn the game around. On the other hand, If the Buckeyes force the taters into settling for the underneath stuff, sooner or later the taters will get impatient and have one of their patented premature erruptions and give the ball away going for the big climax.
I think Urban Meyer vs Dumbo Swiney is a huge mismatch, so I'm betting on the Buckeyes.
By the way, here's my favorite Spurrier & Dumbo picture:
