South Carolina quarterback Connor Mitch is out of the hospital after a three-day stay and recovering well according to head coach Steve Spurrier.
Mitch reaggravated a hip injury suffered in the season opener Saturday night against Kentucky after leaving the game in the second quarter with what was diagnosed as a separated shoulder. Spurrier confirmed earlier this week the third-year sophomore was battling an infection and internal bleeding near the hip in addition to shoulder pain.
Former walk-on Perry Orth will start at Georgia for Mitch, who’s expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Mitch posted a photo of his hip this week on his Snapchat (connormitch_3). If you’re squeamish, turn away.
