The NCAA is exploring allowing its athletes to be compensated for their name, image and likenessRay Tanner is worried about that.

“This is a personal opinion but when I see name, image, likeness it makes me feel like it is pay for play,” South Carolina’s athletics director said. “I’m like, ‘This gives me angst.’ ”

Southeastern Conference commissioner Greg Sankey feels the same way.

“My stance hasn’t changed since I testified in the (Ed) O’Bannon case,” Sankey said. “I think the funding and financial support provided to student-athlete is appropriately tied to their educational pursuits. There is a period at the end of that sentence.”

Let's hear your thoughts!!

Although it may be pointless at this time, I'm not for more money entering college athletics.

Money ruins everything in sports IMO.

But I see that this is a losing argument (practically speaking), and we're just around the corner from paying money to college players.

More money = more NCAA corruption....as if we don't have enough of that either.
