Plot twists in 2 classes top the week

May 05, 2018

There were a few significant items of news for the 2019 South Carolina recruiting class this past week, but the biggest story was the addition of Texas A&M graduate transfer Nick Harvey.

Harvey, of course, will join the Gamecocks’ secondary for the 2018 season. His playing career at South Carolina will be over when members of the Class of 2019 enroll for class next January.

As of last Sunday, two tight ends are committed to join the program next year: Traevon Kenion, from Monroe (N.C.) High School and Keshawn Toney from Williston-Elko (Williston, S.C.). Within the following few days, LSU and Alabama offered the quarterback commitment (Ryan Hilinski, Orange Lutheran, Orange, Calif.) and junior college defensive tackle (Jahkeem Green from Highland Community College) pledge, respectively.
