Pulling out a last minute drive to the doormat of the SEC. How do view the Gamecocks future? I felt relief from the embarrassment would have come from a loss today against Vanderbilt, which is suppose to be the doormat of the SEC, the Gamecocks came just that close. Could hardly see the difference between the two after Saturday with the Gamecocks escaping an 21-20 win.  Gamecocks are now 4-3 better then last years win count and 2019, but there are questing to be answered with 5 games left glaring weakness on this years team and very questionable coaching issues on the offense and few areas on the defense along with taking gambles with a nice 14-3  lead and a very short field goal that would have gave the Gamecocks 17-3.  lead. Why? Instead going for 1st down comes up seeing all the mo. going Vandy's way that shortens the Gamecock lead to 14 10.

Question

No

Looks sad with no light at the end of the tunnel. I believe my Garnet Glasses are broke. Even Todd and Tommy said it looked sad, yesterday on the radio.

Great and all that we won but it was Vandy…we beat Vandy by 1 point. We have a long way to go. I would have thought Vandy would have been an easy win for us.

We don't do much of anything easy in case you haven't noticed.

I believe the offense will be play better with Noland as QB.  We may play something like we did with Thompson in the 2012 Clemson game if the defense plays better.

It's hard to see daylight at the end of the tunnel right now, but I do believe there's a chance we get two more wins (one of those against Clemson) and get bowl eligible.

Like others here I haven't had high hopes for the program to begin with, so what has been playing out is about what I expected. I could be surprised once Beamer and staff has had some time running the program and getting relationships developed with prospects in our region - I certainly wasn't expecting wild successes with a totally new staff, and with how the previous staff left the program - but right now things don't look too good. We got what we paid for, though......

I get that almost everyone is disappointed in how the Cocks have played so far this year. I, too; thought we would beat Vandy handily. However, before the season I saw only five or six wins on the schedule. Three of the next four games are at home and if we can clean up the mistakes we can win one or two more games. Getting in a bowl would really help recruiting and the extra practices would be good as well. Patience is in short supply in college football (as well as other areas of life) these days, but I still think Beamer can get it done.

I am not really disappointed by the Wins and Loses, but more how this team plays.  It's the first year of this coaching staff, so I understand some of these problems.  I just thought that after 8 games, we wouldn't like the Bad News Bears of Football.  So many mental errors and penalties.  Just get us competitive.
