Hilton Head Island High defensive tackle Poona Ford will announce his college intentions Tuesday night, ending a year-long recruiting process that saw the senior grow into one of the Southeast's most sought-after football prospects.
Ford will choose between Tennesee, Louisville, South Carolina, Purdue, Mississippi and Kansas State in the 7 p.m. press conference.
The 6-foot, 285-pound tackle has favored the Volunteers, Cardinals and Gamecocks for some time and is expected to choose between those three.
The recruit burst onto the scene after a dynamic junior year that saw him register 154 tackles, 44 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
Ford is rated a four-star prospect by 247sports.com and a three-star recruit by Rivals.com.
