USC missed on the only quarterback they have offered thus far in the 2014 class, Kentucky commitment Drew Barker. South Aiken QB 3 star Bo Baldwin 6'5" 233lbs hopes to change that June 22nd when he will attend a seven on seven camp at USC. This Friday Baldwin and his teammates will compete in the Carolina Panthers' seven on seven camp. But it's the one in Columbia where he needs to shine. "I think he's got a real good possibility at South Carolina," said Baldwin's coach Jeremy West. "If he shows up and does a good job at USC next weekend, things might can move a little bit." USC quarterbacks coach GA Mangus checked on Baldwin on the last day he could be out in the spring and got a chance to see him throw. Baldwin has been hampered by injuries the past two seasons, so there's little game film on him, and West says that's one reason schools have been reticent to offer. But he feels Mangus has legitimate interest. "He likes Bo," West said. "He's got all the intangibles. One thing that's holding everybody back is lack of game film on him. But he's got his eyes, feet, arm strength and all that stuff." Baldwin is being tutored by quarterbacks coach Ted Cain, a former assistant at Furman, NC State and Vanderbilt who joined the staff two years ago. Baldwin will camp at Georgia and possibly Furman later in the summer. He went to Georgia's spring game and has not visited anywhere since then. South Aiken junior DE Rasool Clemmons has offers from Clemson, Virginia and Florida State and is drawing interest from U/SC and LSU. His coach will take him to Florida State later this summer. Clemmons will also play some receiver this season.
