I really thought Joyner would be our #2 guy with his legs but i guess not...running qbs have proved to be a legitimate weapon!

If he wasn't giving up 4 to 6 inches of height compared to Hilinski it may be a different story. Not to mention Hilinski is a much more polished passer whether on the run or in the pocket. Hilinski also QB a big time high school team in Cali. I hope Joyner stays and maybe play some slot but in this day and time of transferring he may just take off to another school.

Dak has a place here for him. I think he would be great in the wildcat. Tell you Kentucky knows how to run it and love to see it here. Like the verse below said. Young man has good character hope he sticks and some way the coaching staff can get him some real playing time

Joyner on Monday night posted the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 to his Instagram page, which reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

That's good news.  That shows maturity on his part, at least at this point, and hopefully also means that he sees where this team is going, and wants to be a part of it.

I think is says a lot about Dak's character that he did not give up on being a quarterback even when many people were saying he needed to change positions. He was committed to what he believed in and gave it his all without quitting until he was satisfied that he had given his best effort.  I believe they will find a place that fits him well on this team and I also believe his talent combined with his character will take him places in the game of football and life.

Someone told me yesterday that both Cooper and Samuel were high school quarterbacks. They are probably two of the most exciting players we've had for the last decade. I really hope Joiner will stay and play another position, but I understand if he transfers. Hopefully, he's getting good advice from someone. If he's looking to go to the next level it's probably not going to be at quarterback. Having said that there are exceptions like Russell Wilson.

From what I know he is and if you listen to Dak he just put his feelings aside now and wants just to help the team win. Yes WR would be good move worked out well for the two you brought up, plus we aught to put a wildcat package for him as well.

Dak if he hangs in there and learns a new craft will be a hell of an asset on offense, also Debo, Cooper, Ellington ect ect. It will take a while and you want see it transpire much this year but he could be an All SEC type player next year if he finds his spot on the field. I'm pulling for my Lowcountry Brother.

I think he can make some big plays, but with all the receivers we already have, he will just have to wait on his opportunities. I would really love to see Jake throw him a screen and then he throw it down the field to another WR for a TD. I also love to see the wildcat when it works. There again, put him in like the wildcaty, the D expects a run but instead he launches it down the field for a long reception. I mean he has a very strong arm.

It seems like this happens a lot now. The situations at Alabama and Clemson come to mind. Also, Hurts and Bryant were established quarterbacks and both played in National Championship playoff games. Who knows how Joiner will fare if he transfers. Based on what I've heard and read he could probably be a starter at qb for many tier one programs. However, sitting out another year might hurt his chances. I hope he stays, but my guess is that he will leave.

He's one devastating hit away from being the backup.

Kind of morbid I know, but with our luck with injuries with the 3 major sports teams last year, I think it's a practical perspective.

DakJ is so dynamic with the ball in his hands and I feel he needs to get 10 to 15 touches a game, NOT in a wildcat setup. Use him like Debo and Cooper. He would be a game changer and the defenses would have to account for him on every play he is out there.
