RB Derrell Scott 5'10" 190lbs of Havelock, NC visited Ohio State with two teammates for a camp last weekend. His coach, Jim Bob Bryant, and assistant coach Caleb King also were on the trip. This trip came a week after Scott visited Florida State. "He had two great trips," Bryant said. "His top three right now, in no particular order, are Ohio State, Florida State and South Carolina." At Ohio State, Scott participated in the prospect camp working out with the running backs. He later took a tour of the campus. "All three kids got the chance to talk with coach (Urban) Meyer for about thirty minutes," Bryant said. Scott will attend The Opening in Eugene, OR later this week. He's visited USC several times and his coach did not thing he would make it back this summer. Scott plans to take all of his official visits and then make his decision. He will not waiting until Signing Day because he's going to graduate early. Scott is also considering NC State, Oregon and Tennessee for his final two official visits. There is no leader. "I think those top three schools are right there together," Bryant said.
