He is the son of a former heavyweight champion and excels in another sport. Class of 2016 4 star RB Elijah Holyfield 5'10" 195lbs of College Park, GA, son of Evander Holyfield, has had a busy season. On Fridays he scores touchdowns, and on S
aturdays he visits schools. Holyfield has taken several visits this season but has not visited the Palmetto State thus far.
“I was getting interest from South Carolina and Clemson this summer,” he said. “I went to the Clemson-South Carolina game last year and had a good time. To be honest, I haven’t heard from either recently but I would love to get an offer from both.”
Holyfield did see Clemson play at Georgia to open the season and will see USC play at Auburn. He does not have any favorites.
“I’m just looking for a school where I feel comfortable and that can help me get to the next level,” Holyfield said.
His offers include Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Boston College, Duke, Minnesota, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest among others. He has several upcoming visits with Auburn next. He will see Georgia-Auburn after that and then Michigan State-Ohio State. Thus far, he has been to the Georgia-Clemson game and the Ohio State-Cincinnati game.
Through six games he has over 1,100 all-purpose yards and 17 touchdowns as a running back and return kick specialist.
