This is just a thought. IDK if this would be a good or bad idea, but I think it would be awesome:
I personally think that we should use our backs like LSU does.
Have all 4 guys get carries (with Latti getting the most of course).
Let say we run the rock 42 times in a game including qb scrambles.. Thats pretty realistic I think looking at last year.
That would give Latti about 18-20, Connor (QB) about 5-7, Wilds 5-6, Miles 4-6, Carson 3-4, and Davis 3-4. I think that would be a dangerous mix of RB's who are good at a lot of different things.
That would be a minimum of 38 carries or a max of 47 (kind of ridiculous).
But if we're running the ball well and all of our RB's are healthy. We could really pound the ball with fresh legs throughout the game. I know Latti would probably get more of a bulk of the carries when he's hot and we need him but coming off injury we dont need to overwork him. I think by splitting carries like this our RB's will always be fresh and ready to drive the pile or bounce it outside for a big gain. Also, all these guys catch the ball out of the back field pretty well so that helps.
Just a thought, but I think it would be awesome to see all these guys contribute and be fresh when they come in and do big things. Plus, with all of them having some differences in skill sets we can really catch the defenses off guard and keep them on their heels the whole game.
