USC and RB Jordon Brown 5'11 190lbs of Durham, NC continue to build a strong relationship. Brown camped at USC in June then made an unofficial visit in late July. Brown said he sat down with Steve Spurrier and then visited with academic people and toured the school.
“It was just a good visit just to get to see the campus because I hadn’t gotten to see anything but the practice field at the camp really,” Brown said. “I talked to some of the coaches and stuff like that.”
Brown said his conversation with Spurrier was very enlightening and opened his eyes to some things in the program he did not know.
“He just went over the program and some academic aspects of the program,” he said. “He went over the winning tradition at South Carolina and the winning he’s done over his career. Things like that. He talked about how he’d love to have me at South Carolina and how my speed could be an asset to them. He was saying speed is something that you can’t teach.”
Brown also visited North Carolina and Wake Forest in July. He said he’s not set dates for official visits but he’s looking at USC for one after the season. He might take an unofficial visit for a game this season.
USC, North Carolina and Wake Forest are the three schools showing him the strongest interest at this point. He has been in touch with Gamecock recruiters Everette Sands and Joe Robinson since his last visit. Brown said he’s looking to make a decision by the end of August or in early September.
