RB Mecose Todd Commits to the Gamecocks for first 2020 commitment

The South Carolina Gamecocks received their first verbal commitment from the 2020 recruiting class when Villa Rica, Georgia RB Mecose Todd 6'0" 195lbs pledged to USC on Saturday.
The commitment, first reported by The Big Spur, gives USC a running back deep in SEC recruiting territory from a player that boasts some very prestigious offers.
Todd has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee among others, but committed to the Gamecocks on an unofficial visit this weekend to USC.
The rising High School sophomore transferred to Villa Rica HS from Carrollton HS in Georgia, where he averaged 7.2 yards per carry with 811 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns last season.
