LSU was without a doubt a reality check for us. They dared us to beat them at there game and we couldn't.Here are a few things I took away from the game:

Personally I believe the play calling has to improve on both sides of the ball. Lattimore touched the ball less then 10 times the second half, and after that 1st interception LSU didn't respect the ground game at all. We need to do a better job at keep Defenses honest. Run first and then throw when necessary. When we run, we gotta find out where either between the tackles or inside and when we find where we need to run, go attack it. It might have been just me but I believe Lattimore was a little timid tonight for some reason. When we throw, we need to go short and utilize our players like Ace, Bruce and Damiere on screens, slants etc. If we want to go deep let them run up under the ball or throw it up to a big guy (Jerrell Adams/Justice Cunningham). On Defense, we knew what was coming for the most part, and we couldn't stop it. We didn't stack the box or focus on the run as much as we should have and when we did there were missed assignments, guys getting caught out of position etc. Find a gameplan to win and go out and execute it.

Improve on the fundamentals. Get back to basics this week, and refocus. Basic tackling drills, coverage, catching, blocking and throwing. It can't hurt because if we were fundamentally sound tonight, we would have won the game.

We won't be intimidated on the road anymore. Shaw, Lattimore and the rest of the Offense just got done playing in probably the loudest environment this season. The swamp will be alive and jumping but it won't be anything like tonight was. You could tell early on the crowd was affecting our Offense. Kinda makes you wonder how big of an impact we have on games?

I am frustrated/mad about this loss mainly because we should have won it, LSU played a great game though. I am not trying to take anything away from them however, every year it seems we have a game we should win but don't due to whatever reason. I think it was play calling tonight. Our goal of beating Clemson, winning the SEC East, winning the SEC and making it to a BCS bowl are still in order. We can do this. Forget about this one...Florida is calling our name.

I hate LSU from bottom of my hearth at this moment, they've killed our winning spree....
