Rebels spoil the day for Gamecocks 75-74 (VIDEO/AUDIO)
It was a festive Saturday at Colonial Life Arena until the end of the Gamecocks’ SEC basketball game with Ole Miss. The former basketball players who were visiting for the weekend were honored during the pre-game, and the football team was cheered on at halftime. The icing on the cake would have been the basketball team earning its first SEC win of the season.
But it was not to be as the Gamecocks failed to make a basket over the final 4:26, including a desperation shot at the buzzer by Sindarius Thornwell, and they fall to 0-4 in the SEC and 7-10 overall.
