DE Javon Kinlaw of Goose Creek, who has been strongly favoring USC for an extended period, is considering a commitment this Saturday when he visits for a junior day. Kinlaw told JC Shurburtt of TheBigSpur there’s a 70% chance of a commitment if he likes his visit. Florida has been #2 on his list.
Florida 2017 commitment DB D’Najee Whosendove of Allendale-Fairfax plans to visit Clemson April 6th and Georgia April 27th. Neither has offered.
Saluda coach Stewart Young reports he has a pair of prospects for the 2016 class. OL Cortez Herrin (6-4 320) is going to visit Furman this Saturday. He’s also hearing from Georgia Southern and is also getting interest from Coastal Carolina. And DB/WR Jamarion Mathis (6-2 185) has been offered by Miami of Ohio. He’s also heard from Kentucky, NC State and Louisville. He was the team’s leading receiver last season and is a three year starter.
Young said he has a junior running back in Malik Brooks (5-10 185) who he expects to develop into a prospect. He missed all of last season after breaking his wrist in the opening game but he rushed for over 600 yards as a freshman.
Clemson target OL Parker Boudreaux of Orlando visited Florida Saturday and raved on social media about the visit saying he had an amazing time and can’t wait to return.
RB Isaiah Holyfield of Atlanta, who is considering USC, visited Notre Dame Saturday for a junior day as did USC DL target Nyquan Jones of Evanston, IL.
DB KJ Chamberlain of Emerald plans to visit USC Saturday for the junior day and plans to attend Clemson’s spring game April 11th.
USC over the weekend offered OL Scott Lashley of West Point, MS.
RB Tre’ Harbison of Shelby, NC plans to attend USC’s junior day this Saturday.
2017 QB Jake Fromm of Warner Robins, GA visited USC Saturday. 2017 QB Jake Bentley, son of former Byrnes coach and current Auburn special assistant Bobby Bentley, was at Clemson Monday and plans to visit USC Thursday.
