Recruiting Notes For June 20th
RB Jalen Holston (5-11 200) of Stockbridge, GA came thru USC’s camps earlier this month and earned an offer from Will Muschamp. Holston said the Gamecocks will get considerable consideration. “I like how they are really close to my family. I’m up in Columbia a lot so being there would be great for my family. I think I would fit perfect in their offense. They need a running back bad and I think I would be the guy to carry the load for them. They like my size , vision, ability to break tackles, the speed I have to be as big as I am, and how I’m a north and south runner.” Holston also has offers from Duke, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Mississippi State, NC State, West Virginia and Vanderbilt. He also camped at Virginia Tech, Duke and Georgia. He rushed for 1503 yards last season.
DB Dreshun Miller of Marietta, GA, who drew some interest from USC last recruiting season, never signed and is enrolling this fall at Palmetto Prep, a postgraduate program in Columbia. The Minutemen will play their games at Brookland-Cayce High School.
