Recruiting Notes For May 22: Wynn Jr. doing more with USC than Clemson; USC offers Miami DB and others; GA DE has USC in final 10

DE Stephon Wynn Jr. of Anderson and IMG Academy was considered a lock to Clemson by most going into this recruiting season because his father played for the Tigers.  But at Sunday’s EPT Showcase at Ridge View High School, Wynn told Hale McGranahan of SEC Country he’s a lot more involved with USC than the Tigers at this point.  Wynn said he’s visited the Gamecocks at least six times since Will Muschamp took over and another visit is possible.  As for Clemson, Wynn told McGranahan the Tigers aren’t that involved any more.  Wynn said he’s also looking at Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State and plans to visit them this summer.  LSU and Tennessee also are involved.

USC Friday offered DB Jermaine McMillian (6-2 185) of Miami.  He also has offers from Baylor, Central Florida, Mississippi State and others.  “I loved the offer and can’t wait to visit South Carolina.  I like the defensive backs coach there.  He could be a big part of getting me to the next level.   He said he loved my size and the way I ran to the ball every play.  I’m open minded right now.  Which ever school I could early enroll in and play early would be the best for me.”  McMillian said he hasn’t taken any visits yet but plans to take several this summer.

OL Reuben Unije of IMG Academy told 247Sports he will visit Florida this weekend and he plans to visit USC this summer.

USC offered DB JaKorey Hawkins of Montgomery, AL.

USC offered 2020 RB Jordon Simmons of Powder Springs, GA.

USC is in the final 11 with DE Kingsley Enagbare of Hapeville, GA.   He also has Penn State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia, NC State, East Carolina, Ole Miss, Wake Forest and Illinois.
