Recruiting Notes: Updates on several prospects

August 23, 2017

DE Trajan Jeffcoat of Irmo said he had a “stunning game” last Friday night including a scoop and score and a pair of sacks.  He will take an official visit to Missouri September 23rd and he also plans to take officials to Colorado State and Indiana.  Jeffcoat, who camped at USC this summer, said he’s not hearing anything from the Gamecocks at this point.  Missouri is his current favorite.

DL Torrion Stevenson of Branchville said he has a top three of The Citadel, Troy and NC A&T.  All three have offered. He plans to visit The Citadel in September.  He currently favors The Citadel.  He does not hear much from USC or Clemson.

QB Kevaris Thomas of Lakeland, FL opened his season passing for 279 yards and 3 touchdowns and rushing 17 yards for another score.  He camped at USC in June hoping for an offer from the Gamecocks but that hasn’t happened yet. “They’ve told me they are going to hold off on offering me because they need more defensive players.  They said I’m still at the top of the QB list.”  Thomas said he’s not heard from USC since late July.  Right FIU is the primary school he is hearing from that has offered.

DB Jermaine McMillian of Miami camped at USC this summer and said he’s not heard much from the Gamecocks since camp started.  He has heard from South Florida, Ole Miss and Virginia Tech.  He plans to visit USC, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and South Florida for his official visits.

QB Cordell Littlejohn of Roswell, GA said he talks “here and there” with USC but the contacts have dropped off some with the Gamecocks since they picked up a commitment from QB Dakereon Joyner.  Littlejohn said USC quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper said he wants to see some of his senior film.  He is talking with Louisville, Illinois and Old Dominion and plans to take an unofficial visit to ODU.  He said schools want to watch him some this season before making a decision on an offer.  Littlejohn passed for 121 yards and 1 touchdown in a season opening loss last Friday.
