Looks like we are making offers for some good talent along with some good programs, but you can’t get them if you don’t offer them. Good for Coach.

Interesting approach - going after top recruits in Alabama and Louisiana. I doubt that we can sway the very best but we have a shot at the second tier guys that Alabama, Auburn and LSU do not want. That landed us recruits like Captain Munnerlyn and Darian Stewart in the past.

And if top recruits want to get out of state, or if Beamer can sell them on getting immediate PT with an up and coming program, the top guys are not out of question - like Justyn Ross at Clemson. Having a former teammate on the South Carolina roster is another factor in getting players from those states, and we seem to have that going for us too.
Yeah, I've been curious about this strategy. I think, in part, it is due to our coaches existing relationships from previous colleges more regional to that area. But I think it is also a current recruiting strategy and I like it! LSU, Auburn, and Alabama try to recruit nationally, so I see some great local prospects to those areas that are not considered by their big name state colleges. So, I think that's gives us a chance to use our SEC ties as a strategic maneuver in getting these kids to our school without competition from the local powers. We won't get the 5*s away from Alabama/Auburn/LSU but we could sneak a few 4* gems or 3*/2* prospects with underestimated potential.
